Go...it's (almost) my birthday...

April 19th, 2006 (08:07 am)

current location: School Library
current mood: exanimate
current song: Still I Can't Be Still - Idina Menzel

Two days.

Two. Days.

So I had to drive to school today in this bigass black pickup truck. Don't worry, I learned how to drive in that thing, thanks to my dad saying, 'If you learn to drive in something like this, you can drive any car, big or small.' Cept stickshift. :P So I can drive it fine.

At least I can still drive to school. Because if I COULDN'T drive to school, it would mess up ALL of my plans for my birthday.

Here's the plan. (Hope all my buds who are planning to be on Friday read this.)

I tell Momo today after school, 'OK, you know how there was a baseball game this Friday? Well, it's at 4:30, and it'll probably last until six. So, after that, me and a bunch of my friends at school (Oh, I'm so smart, being 'social' again!) are going to go out to dinner for my birthday, ya know, as a kind of celebration! So, I might be home, oh, by 7:30, maaaaybe a little later. Is that OK? -pout-'

'Of course, Kelsey! I'm so glad you're hanging out with some of your friends at school.'

You mean the idiots at school who are always ignoring me and hardly ever talk to me and will get up and MOVE when I sit next to them at lunch? Oh, THOSE friends! Those are my friends? I see. OK. FINE, Mom.

So, what I'm REALLY doing. Stay at school. Hide in the library, where I have internete access on my laptop. Stay online from around 3:30 to 7:30, central time. THAT'S WHEN I'M GONNA BE ON. After that, I can't promise much. Saturday I'm probably gonna go to a movie with my best friend (no, for real, we have fun at the movies and have popcorn fights and talk about how were both rejects at school). But that's my birthday party. And you know what? That's fine with me.

Does anybody else think that's weird? I mean, I don't have any other friends out here that I understand anymore. Should I be worried that I'd rather spend four hours of my sixteenth birthday with my friends online than go to dinner with my 'friends' at school?

Awww :( I was like that in high school. I had 'friends' who say they cared about me, but would always hang out without telling me and ask me to hang out but then leave without telling me and all that shit. Highschool sucks, it really does.

The summer after highschool ended for me, I met this girl online, she lived about 40 minutes away from me and we met up and hung out. Now we are best friends and I travel 40 minutes every day on the weekend to go see her. And through her I have made TONS of friends. So don't give up hope! When I had sucky friends, I would rather be on the internet with me internet-friends than my 'real' ones.

p.s. There are people sword-fighting out my window 0_0
